Berkhamsted Business Leaders support Pitch Perfect family picnic with musical accompaniment.
Sunday proved to be perfect for Pitch Perfect, a family event hosted by Berkhamsted Cricket Club. Nearly 1,000 people gathered on the hottest day of the year for an evening of light opera, jazz and choir music.
Local professional singer and avid cricketer Phillip Brown was persuaded by his team mates to organise the fund raising evening after he revealed to them that; he had been on stage with world famous opera star Pavarotti.
Philip enlisted the help of his wife Kathryn Jenkin to put on the show which was sponsored by Cienté and other members of Berkhamsted Leaders, the town’s premier business networking group.
The audience enjoyed a fabulous evening in the idyllic setting of the 125 year old cricket club with great jazz from The Peter Kershaw Four, opera and songs from West End shows from Kathryn and Philip, the close harmonies of Cabinet Shuffle and rousing numbers from local choir Rock Chorus.
