As we started the New Year with our hair detox tips, here are some hot tips for to get ready for summer hair !

You should protect your hair just like you protect your skin!! As the sun rays can cause sun damage to the hairs complex structure.

Hot tips recommended by the Ciente team are;

"To prepare for the summer, our customers need advise on their hair color, the effects the sun has, and what precautions
they should take. We must give the best advice on what UV products to use to protect the hair and the stunning colours that we produce.

Highlighted hair should be treated with the utmost attention since it's the most vulnerable to environmental hazards. The best way to look after it would be to treat your hair once a week and avoid any mechanical stress from things like hairdryers/straightening irons but always protect the hair whilst on holiday in extreme heat with UV protection products.

“Select an appropriate shampoo conditioner and treatment, always use a comb to de tangle hair, and always use a heat protector.  Customers should be carrying on there regime as normal maybe adding a UV protector and some KMS anti humidity spray for those extra hot close days.

High lights should always be looked after not just during the summer , but the sun will have an affect on the colour,  if you’re using the right protectors this will be to your advantage!! Every one like’s natural sun kissed high lights!!  I would recommend having a colour treatment and trim 2 weeks before, taking the appropriate sun care regime then after your back come in to the salon for a holiday detox treatment and blow dry then a further two weeks back to your normal colour service.
